Out In Tacoma was created in 1997 by a group of dedicated community volunteers who wanted to see Tacoma have a safe event for the LGBT Community to voice their concerns and celebrate who they were as a community.

14 Years later...although the names have changed, still an all Volunteer Organization Out In Tacoma is now an Program of the Tacoma Rainbow Center.  This will allow for consistency, stability and growth for the event and the center.

Community organizations such as The Tacoma Rainbow Center,  TLC, GASS, OASIS, PCAF as well as many businesses throughout the years have made sure that Tacoma, Pierce County and South King County have an event to come celebrate !

Our Vision for the future is simple-

Continue to build our community within our selves and our allies.

To produce and provide opportunities within the Tacoma/Pierce County Community for all who wish to take part, learn, celebrate and have fun!

To produce and grow the annual Gay Pride Festival while listening to the community we serve, keeping it family friendly, supportive and a FREE event open to all.

We plan to continue into the future, an event that will be truly representative of the Tacoma, Pierce and South King Counties with real achieved representation of all groups regardless of-sexual orientation, gender expression, color, religion, nationalities, disabilities and social/economic levels. WE Want To Be Representative of the Community WE Serve! All are encouraged to step forward to be a part of this event.
